Mini snaps from the mini trip

Not many places are as enjoyable when they drizzle with rain (ahem, all weekend!) as when they are bright and sunny, but the Blue Mountains... I just love them. STAYED AT: Crabapple Cottage, which I cannot recommend highly enough. Sleeps 6, central heating, a 2 minute walk to Leura Mall, beautifuly decorated, well equipped kitchen, just brilliant. And an absolute abundance of both lamps (I adore lamp light) and mohair throws. We'll be back! ATE AT: Leura Garage - Outstanding Tapas, excellent coffee (apparently) and wine, which has only been open 3 months (thanks to Plain Jane Styling for the tip off)! Also The Red Door Cafe, Bakehouse (best pies ever) and Hana Japanese, faves from our last trip to the mountains. READ: 88 Chinese Medicine Secrets (so interesting) and bucketloads of mags and cookbooks (they had a smashing collection!).

Of course we had to check out the famous "three sisters". That's them behind us. Yah. Fog much?

And apparently there was light snowfall today (typical!!). PS Big thanks to Ma and Pa Tonic, who showered Anoushka with new toys looked after Anoushka while we were gone. PPS Krissy, it was lovely to meet you (at the aforementioned Bakehouse)! PPPS Crabapple Cottage had the most amazing Ikou shampoo, which I will be hunting down and buying online, as their store in Leura Mall was sold out of it (there's an Ikou in Sydney's Paddington too).
