Live colourfully: Take Jonathan Adler home TODAY!

Never heard of Jonathan Adler? Allow me to enlighten you (with a bit of help from Wikipedia) and subsequently colour your world: He is a Jewish American designer renowned for his "happy chic" approach to home furnishings and interior design. Adler launched his eponymous line of furniture and accessories in 1993 and began taking interior design clients in 2002. A potter by trade, Adler sold his first designs to Barneys New York in 1993 and opened his first retail store in Manhattan in 1998. His company has since expanded to include 14 retail stores nationwide, a thriving e-commerce site, and a wholesale business boasting over 1,000 locations worldwide. Adhering to the company motto "If your heirs won't fight over it, we won't make it," Adler has developed a unique style that mixes modernist forms with bold colors and "groovy" graphics. Offerings include decorative objects, tabletop collections, bath accessories, bedding, candles, furniture, rugs, pillows, and lighting. Phew. Which bring me to his books:

I recently bought 2 of Jonathan Adler's books, "Happy Chic Colors" and Happy Chic Accessorizing". Less than an hour after I had flicked through them, I was on the phone to the Australian distributor - I had to have them in the Table Tonic Shop!

They are beautiful inside - screaming with colour, pattern and lots of clever tricks and ideas.

And pssssst! You can now buy them online from tabletonic.com.au as well!

Live colourfully, Tonic-ettes!
