So I grabbed the new issue of Home Beautiful on Monday. Mr Tonic (of GDB Architecture fame) had a feeling one of the houses he designed was going to be in it, and well, like I need an excuse to buy a magazine!?

So, I kept casually flicking through until a random Suzani on page 82 stopped me in my tracks. Turns out it was the beautiful home of Hayley (Hayley is one half of Porchlight Interiors) and turns out the Suzani is a Table Tonic Suzani! Table Tonic reader photo: My TT Mexican Suzani

I always loved the idea of stretching a Mexican Suzani over a canvas. They're so graphic in their design, and up close, thousands of tiny hand embroidered stitches make up scenes of birds, flowers, rabbits and other creatures. One of my (very clever) customers recently sent me this photo of her Suzani, proudly hanging in her hallway, stretched on a canvas. Doesn't it look amazing?! I suggested she give it a good spray with a waterproofer like scotchguard prior to hanging it up, and dust it regularly to avoid build up of dirt. PS The multicolour suzanis always fly out the door, but we have one new piece arriving in the next few weeks - click here to pre-order it!

Decor BFF's: Moroccan Berber rugs and fireplaces

We have a rather enormous Berber rug from Morocco in our Living Room (below), and I think it must weigh 10 tonnes! They really are so scrumptious to have under-foot... Truth be told, I got it in to stock in the Table Tonic online store, but just couldn't bear to part with something so exquisite! But I may just have more on the way - watch this space.
