Mr Tonic's birthday present(s)!!!!!!!!!!

So it's Mr Tonic's birthday today (Happy Birthday Mr Tonic!) - and his presents just arrived! We are both smitten on a grand scale (you can buy them here)...

(above) Next time you see our front deck, it will have a new, 50's style white iron ballustrade(!). We were hoping it would be ready by Christmas, but alas... PS I must fill you in with the renovations soon. So much to tell!

They match our yellow front door perfectly and have you ever sat in a Butterfly chair? They're SO comfortable! The covers are pre-scotchguarded, although it's advisable to bring them indoors when not in use. And let's face it, if you have a lot of birds in the area... Mike from 506070 is just lovely (and delivers for free in Sydney metro area). He also supplies Rose Seidler House with the covers for their Butterfly Chairs! PS Make sure you visit Mike's 506070 eBay shop.

In other news, MAGAZINES! Just droppped: Lucky (USA), Australian Good Taste, Real Living, House Beautiful (USA) and House & Garden. Consider them inhaled!

Yes Tonic-ettes. These are the shoes that deserve their own blog post. These are the shoes that taught me what "baskets" (sport), "craie" (chalk) and "taille" (size) all mean - Hang around French eBay long enough and you learn a few things! These are more commonly known as Isabel Marant's "Perkins" sneakers - sold out worldwide and subsequently going for a motza on eBay everywhere. Beautifully soft suede and leather/canvas, with a concealed wedge heel inside, making you (secretly!) taller whilst wearing them. Gotta love that. And when you work from home and/or are a parent? Sneakers tend to be your thing. And this is about as sexy as sneakers get. Right?

Can't wait to give my other pair a whirl! Coloured Levis retail for around $39.99 on eBay. Gotta love that. You do take a punt with the size though. The 510 is actually men's (skinny) style. But then half my wardrobe is from the men's department...
