Breakfast. Lunch. Dinner. A day in my (food) life

So I just went to schedule a trusty "Table Tonic's past few days in review" post (which I know you all love), pasted in my images and ...wait? 7 out of 8 of them are of food! But it's good, healthy, quick, easy, delicious food. And I want to share it with you. So here goes:

(above) BREAKFAST: Organic oat porridge with stewed rhubarb, cashews, walnuts, organic coconut palm sugar (crazy good) and cinnamon. Totally could pass for a dessert, it's that divine.

(above) ALTERNATE BREAKFAST: Green Smoothie - Avocado, Kale, Frozen berries, half a lemon, coconut oil, chia seeds, macca powder, chorella, cayenne pepper & organic rice syrup. Really delicious, contrary to all evidence!

(above) LUNCH: Leftover Soba noodles, egg, green beans, capsicum, cinnamon and this dressing (I didn't have/use the fresh herbs and I added a teaspoon of organic coconut palm sugar to it), which I have made 3 batches of in as many days.

(above) DINNER: Hickory smoked pork ribs with coleslaw (cabbage, carrot, continental parsley, apple with an egg mayonnaise and white balsamic vinegar dressing)

(above) Anoushka-Tonic was so rib-happy I couldn't even get her to hold still for a photo!

(above) Most Tuesday afternoons 2 big boxes, choc full of organic goodness arrives from Abundant Organics (they deliver to Sydney Metro and Blue Mountains). I always feel a bit Gwyneth-y when I unpack it all... The best bit is when you spend over $100 you get 5% off, and when you spend over $200 you get 10% off.

(above) The Lucky You Juice Cleanse just keeps on giving! They let you keep all the glass jars the juices/smoothies come in, so I've put them to good use in the kitchen. Mr Tonic is most excited about having so many "paint jars". Happy (and recyclable) days!

(above) Azaleas! From the garden! We weren't living in this house last Spring, so things like the explosion of fushia in the front garden is a welcome surprise. Free fresh flowers? Sign me up. If the bees could leave me alone next time I try to pick some, that would be awesome too. Oh yeah there's a bit of industrial action going down today involving NSW public schools - click here for a list of schools "not operating" today. Happy Thursday, Tonic-ettes!

Room of the week: Black + Spiro

I can't get enough of the "visual assault" that is Black and Spiro. One day I will make it to the store, although with my brother having just moved back to Sydney from Brissie, I'm really not sure when we'll be up there next!? But I've said it before and I'll say it again - Anna Spiro is a genius. And if you haven't bookmarked her Absolutely Beautiful Things blog, you're just not living.

Stylish Homes: Nikki Tibbles's Notting Hill townhouse

This 5 bedroom townhouse, situated in London's Notting Hill, belongs to florist Nikki Tibbles, a stunning example of the unexpected and the juxtaposed resulting in an extraordinarily triumphant interior. I've spoken before of my love for Florist's home decor. They have a certain aesthetic, often surprising, always a little organic, rustic even. Art is always present - in abundance. Would you have considered a dove grey interior with bursts of colour throughout? Me neither. But by golly, it's rocking my socks off. PS These magnificent images were found via the fab ladies over at Desire to Inspire.

If you're sitting there wondering where you've seen it before, you may remember Nikki's home from the January 2011 issue of Inside Out magazine (below):

Now, wasn't that a spectacular way to start a Wednesday?

Table Tonic's week(end) in review...

The weekend kicked off beautifully around lunchtime Friday, where we enjoyed a leisurely lunch with the birthday boy. The Boathouse at Palm Beach would have to be one of the most beautiful spots in Sydney, rather loving that it's in the next suburb! And yes. Jasper and his new Skateboard? Officially inseparable.

(above) Jasper and "Penny". BFF's.

(above) I had the Goat's cheese Frittata (left) and both Mr Tonic and Jasper had Fish & Chips (right)

(above) That would be me. Wearing (because it's useful information) French Connection top, Karen Walker sunglasses, Ausko scarf, Hermes cuff.

 (above) The Tonic boyz.

(above) I wandered down to the corner store on Saturday arvo, only to stumble upon this - A Vogue Living Before + After Special Edition (on sale now)! Will post a sneak peak soon.

(above) A gorgeous High School friend of mine texted me on Saturday arvo (and an ex-collegue tweeted me!) to alert me to this little mention - A quarter page in Saturday's Good Weekend (Sydney Morning Herald) supplement, featuring a Table Tonic Moroccan Wedding Blanket! And PS I have a bunch more breathtakingly beautiful Vintage Moroccan wedding blankets arriving in the next few weeks!

Of course I always know about these things in advance, but it's always such a thrill to see them in print!

(above) 8.30pm, Saturday. Earth Hour. I loved the warm glow half a dozen lit candles gave the house. I vowed to do it more often. PS I actually almost lit one of my Enjoy flameless candles. I was quite funny, really!

I hope you all created some wonderful memories over the weekend and wish you a superb week ahead! x
